1. Interactive Workshops

You will participate in 3 workshops during a full day session with your PharmaConnect Mentor.

Industry Backgrounder Workshop

The goal of the industry backgrounder workshop is to ensure that you fully understand the pharmaceutical industry and the business of being a pharmaceutical rep. You will review the role of the pharmaceutical representative, the sales cycle, how a sales is made, industry terminology, territory management and analysis, continuing medical education, co-promotion, budget analysis, call recording, access issues and coverage issues – to name a few. In order to make a lasting impression while networking and during interviews this is information you need to understand.

Networking Workshop

80% of jobs in the industry are never posted. You rarely get a job applying on-line or through human resources. Most people get positions by effectively networking with contacts in the industry. You will be given a networking workshop to teach you how to create advocates within the industry and learn how to get these advocates to endorse your candidacy to the hiring managers.

Sales Training Workshop

During pharmaceutical interviews and at sales meetings in the industry, you are often called on to role-play selling situations. In this workshop you will use a detail piece to role-play a selling discussion with a physician. This will ensure that during future interviews and meetings you have the experience and confidence required to stand out.

2. Your New Resume

An amazing resume sets you up for an amazing interview. If you have the right experiences on your resume you will begin your interview by talking about the best examples of yourself...30 minutes of valuable time will not be wasted getting to what is important! To make this happen, a PharmaConnect Mentor will review your experiences and determine which are the most applicable to pharmaceutical sales. A new pharmaceutical industry specific resume will be completed for you. This resume will link the actions hiring managers are looking for with the results that matter.

3. Interview Training

To prepare you for your interview you will have a 2 hour 1-on-1 simulated interview session. During this session your PharmaConnect Mentor will help you identify the stand-out examples that best sell yourself. You will then role-play the new responses to ensure you can demonstrate your skills with confidence!
